How to find your model number
Engraved on the back
① Back cover engraving
The model number is engraved on the back of the Surface (inside the kickstand) as "Model ○○○○".
② System settings
If you can read it, search for those digits directly (e.g. 1876).
From system settings
① System settings
Open Windows Settings > System > About to find the System SKU.
② System SKU
The System SKU contains the model number, like "Surface_Pro_X_1876". The trailing digits are the model number.
